In cooperation with SSG Select Solutions SRL, part of SSG Group, BISS delivered a FidPark ANPR-based parking management solution designed to automate vehicle entry, parking duration tracking, payment processing, and exit authorization without the need for paper tickets.

The project is especially meaningful because it represents more than a single system of delivery. It marks the beginning of cooperation with a new regional partner in a market where digital parking infrastructure is still developing and where trust in license plate-based parking systems is built through real examples, local support, and reliable implementation.

By combining ANPR technology, automated barrier control, kiosk-based payment, centralized parking data, and hands-on partner support, the project creates a practical foundation for more modern retail parking operations in Romania.

Project Overview

Between May and June 2026, BISS implemented a FidPark ANPR parking management system in cooperation with SSG Select Solutions SRL in Romania. The project is currently in the commissioning stage.  

The solution is designed to manage the full parking process without paper tickets. When a vehicle enters the parking area, the system recognizes the license plate, records the entry time, tracks the parking duration, and manages the exit process based on payment status or the allowed free parking period.

For grocery store visitors, parking remains simple and convenient: customers can park for free within the allowed time and exit without using a paper ticket. Drivers who stay longer are required to pay, helping the retail site reduce long-term parking misuse and keep spaces available for store customers.

A key part of the project has been close cooperation with SSG Select Solutions SRL during the implementation process. In markets where partners and clients expect practical, on-site support, successful implementation depends not only on the technology itself, but also on training, commissioning assistance, and clear guidance on how the system should be configured and operated.

This made the project both technical and educational. While the system itself manages the parking process, the implementation also focused on helping the local partner understand how the different components work together - from ANPR recognition and induction loop logic to payment verification and barrier control. This knowledge transfer is supported by practical, layout-specific documentation that explains not only how to install the system, but also why key components must be positioned in a certain way, using real-site references and visual guidance. This helps ensure that the solution can be supported locally and used as a reliable reference for future projects.

The implementation also required adaptation to local site conditions, including license plate recognition, camera positioning, lighting conditions, induction loop setup, and barrier logic aligned with the traffic flow and safety requirements of the site.
